Synopsis:

Opening scene: a camera sweeps high across the treeline of a lush, green world.

Intercut is a sequence of images of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) waking up in a VA hospital, where he is one of a seemingly endless number of wounded war veterans. Jake awakens inside a pod-like apparatus, where he's comforted by hospital staff. Then, through voiceover and dialogue with both hospital and military officials, we learn that Jake has a recently deceased twin brother -- Tom, a scientist -- who was to be part of a highest-level program overseen by corporate and military strategists. Because Jake and his brother are genetic matches, he's presented with a unique opportunity: take over his brother's contract with with corporate-military entity and travel light years away to an outpost on the previously glimpsed world, Pandora.

Acknowledging the notions of "being free" and having a "fresh start", Jake agrees to the deal as his brother's body is cremated.

Now aboard a human transporter spacecraft, Jake is one of many soldiers and personnel about to touch down on Pandora, actually a moon of the planet of Polyphemus, some 4.3 light years from Earth. We catch views of the base and its construction as Jake ponders his new role. Then, as the other passengers disembark and take their first steps onto the base, we see Jake make his first pushes into this world, for Jake is in a wheelchair. Jake acknowledges through voiceover that he lost the use of his legs during one of his tours of duty on Earth, and while a spine can be fixed, that "takes money," and that is tough to come by in the present economy. To add insult to the situation, Jake is referred to as "Meals on Wheels" by a few of his fellow travelers who are about to begin their careers as for-hire workers on Pandora.

The film revolves around a team of trained secret agent animals: guinea pigs Darwin (team leader) (Sam Rockwell), Juarez (martial arts) (Penélope Cruz), Blaster (weapons/transportation) (Tracy Morgan), mole Speckles (cyber intelligence) (Nicolas Cage), and fly Mooch (high-tech surveillance) (Edwin Louis). The team takes on a mission for the US government to stop evil billionaire Leonard Saber (Bill Nighy), who plans to destroy the world with household appliances. Acid Factory 2009 Cam RIP

Synopsis

Our memory is the source of all emotions. It is also the source of our guilt.
a killer would wake up one day with his memory erased? Would his crimes cease to exist?
What if an innocent wakes up one day with his memory erased and perceives himself to be a criminal?
Would that change his perception of reality?
Faltering memory continually alters the constancy of truth. Short term memory loss denies you of an identity throwing you into an abyss of excruciating agony. Acid Factory is about a group of characters whose sense of past has vanished in a haze of coma like sleep they have woken up from only to discover that reality could be a figment of their imagination.
Their sense of right or wrong is heightened by this state of complete distrust and self righteousness.
As the story reveals through the hazy mist of confusion confounded by loss off memory, the audience is just shown the tip of the iceberg. Five men wake up inside the stolid confines of a factory to find themselves locked in this claustrophobic nowhere land. As the plot unfolds we gradually learn that two of the people who are trapped have been kidnapped and held hostage by the rest of the three for a heist. But the irony is they themselves do not know who the hostages are and who the kidnappers are. The plot is like a Rubik cube that acquires the contours of solid colours on each side as the narrative unfolds.

Their fears are heightened by a phone call from the leader of the gang of goons who informs them that he is on his way with the heist and plans to knock off the two hostages as soon as he arrives. Every one fears for their lives as they are unaware about the fact which tow of them are the hostages. They plan escape, fail and end lunging at each other in despair as the clock ticks away. Individual foibles and shortcomings surface in this final hour of despair. Like caged animals they alternately bicker among themselves and then jointly plan means of escape but to no avail. The Big Boss eventually arrives and what follows is a rivetting climax leading to an action packed finale.
A high octane thriller where every second counts and every flash of your past is either a step towards realization of the true self or the horror of the discovery of who you really are.
And then the games begin as our characters start to create stories just so that they can stay in the right but what if a roomful of people realize the majority is evil?
Wouldn't your instinct of survival dictate you too renounce me yourself to evil to survive? Acid Factory plays out as a thriller, a morality play on the inside and a cat and mouse chase on the outside. This purports to be a mother of a thriller which will have you on the edge of your seat and in most probability rooting for the wrong guy.

Studying architecture at the University of Western Australia on a student visa, banned US martial arts champ Julian (Chris Egan), gets a three month house sitting job at a spectacular mansion in Perth - much to the annoyance of his girlfriend Clare (Brooke Harman) who was going to live with him. Soon after moving in, Julian is seduced by the mysterious and beautiful Anna (Emma Lung), and his life begins to unravel; his relationship is in tatters, he loses the championship match (and his coach) and his final uni assignment goes missing ... During a series of increasingly strange and dangerous events, he tries to end the relationship with Anna but Anna's infatuation with him turns deadly.

Wake Up Sid Movie Review

The story of this movie is about lazy guy from Mumbai Siddharth Mehra (Ranbir Kapoor), unmotivated idler. He is carefree; windy with his college life, but then his life gets new twists after his final year’s exam. Sid is a happy-go-lucky guy; he lives very cool life, without any responsibilities and problems. He is involved just in his friends, his camera, his car, and his X-box 360. Sid grows around his two friends Rishi (Namit Das) and Laxmi (Shikha Talsania). Supriya Pathak has played role of Sid’s mother Sarita. Sid rarely talks to his mother and Father Ram Mehra (Anupam Kher).

Sid is from very rich family, despite of all these qualities; he is genuinely an honest boy, sweet, funny and also a good friend. He lives luxurious life, on the hard earned wealth of his father. Aisha Bannerjee (Konkona Sen Sharma) is an aspiring writer from Calcutta. She comes to Mumbai to realize her dreams as a writer. On first day at Mumbai, her path crosses with Sid. She is motivated, modern, ambitious woman. Sid becomes her first friend in Mumbai despite of their different personalities. With Sid and his gang she sets up her life in Mumbai. She also involves with Sid’s parties that stretch well into dawn, and endless hours doing absolutely nothing and long drives.

Now Sid’s days turn in opposite wind, the wake up call rings to wake him due to some unlikely events in his life. Those days force him to take shock of his life and take a hard look at himself.

Wake Up Sid Movie’s music is classy, natural, different than other movie’s music these days, by the talented team of Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy and Javed Akhtar, and also the composer team of Iktara, Amit Trivedi.

Ranbir Kapoor’s appearance to the look of the movie, ‘Wake Up Sid’ shows freshness. The movie is of today’s teenager’s habitual life, which has seen in the role of Sid. Director Ayan Mukherjee and producer Karan Johar deviates from their usual larger-than-life films in ‘WUS’.

Jennifer’s Body (2009) TS HQ XviD

Synopsis

Jennifer's Body is a 2009 dark comedy and horror film written by Diablo Cody. The film is directed by Karyn Kusama, and stars Megan Fox as the title character, Amanda Seyfried as her best friend Needy, and Adam Brody as the antagonist Nikolai. It is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States and Canada on September 18, 2009.

Jennifer Check (Megan Fox) is the sexy, popular captain of the high school cheerleading squad. All of the girls want to be friends with her, and all of the boys want to have sex with her. Jennifer's friend since childhood, Anita "Needy" Lesnicky (Amanda Seyfried), is a nerdy, substantially less popular, "plain jane" student. Jennifer ends up as the sacrifice in a Satanic ritual, held by a rock band, hoping that the sacrifice will increase their chances of getting a record deal. The ritual goes horribly wrong, causing Jennifer to get possessed by a demon and start feeding off of the boys in her high school; First seducing them to get close, and then consuming them in a manner similar to that of a Succubus. It becomes Needy's goal to stop Jennifer from killing more of her classmates.

Demon possession, devilish cheerleaders, and Satanic rock stars are all on the chopping block with this horror comedy from the production team behind Juno. Screenwriter Diablo Cody provides the script, with producing duties handled by Jason Reitman and Dan Dubiecki. Girlfight's Karyn Kusama directs the Fox Atomic production. [D-Man2010]
