Nokia Booklet 3G official specs Revealed

The giant mobile phone maker aka Nokia has officially introduced its own version of netbook named Nokia Booklet 3G. It’s very interesting to see how Nokia can compete in this already crowded and tough market segment. Popularity of netbook has increased recently thanks to its lower price and great portability. With many years of experiences in mobile phone segment, Nokia also includes some of its unique features into Booklet. Well.. we can say this is actually looks like more a hybrid of netbook and smart phone. Here are the official specs of Nokia Booklet 3G:

Hardware:

  • Intel Atom Z530 processor @ 1.6GHz

  • 120 GB hard disk

  • 10.1 inch glass HD ready display

  • 3G / HSDPA, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, integrated Bluetooth, A-GPS

  • 12 hour battery life

  • Built-in webcam for video calls

  • HDMI port (for HD video out), built-in SD card reader, 3 USB ports, single audio in/out port

  • Stereo speakers on front right and left corners

  • 19.9 mm thick x 264 mm width x 185 mm depth

Software:

  • Nokia Ovi Suite is bundled for tight integration with Nokia’s online services

  • Built-in “Ovi Maps gadget”

  • Windows 7 will come pre-installed

No words for memory (RAM) yet, but I think it’ll be in 1-2GB range.

The Booklet body is made full of aluminum, we can say it’s so Nokia-ish.. looks like the popular Nokia N-series. The specs are not fantastic, but the battery life claims for 12 hours life sounds promising. For you that plan to purchase a new netbook / laptop, this might be an interesting choice but from the rumor heard, Nokia will charge its first netbook at pricey USD 799. That’s quite a high price for a netbook. But for Nokia huge fans, the popularity of ‘Nokia’ brand might be worthy of.
